Jagdamba Jitpursimara Gold Cup: BFC has made a winning start
Simara: Bharatpur Football Club has made a winning start in the Jagdamba 13th Jitpursimara Gold Cup. Bharatpur got off to a good start in the tournament by winning the opening match against the host Nawa Janjagriti Yuva Club.
Bharatpur won 3-1 while shocking the organizers and making their way to the last eight. Sunil Shrestha scored two goals and Bhishma Chhetri scored one goal in Bharatpur’s win. Glory returned a goal for the hosts.
Chitwan, who took a 2-1 lead in the first half of the game, widened the goal gap in the injury time of the second half. In the second half, the hosts had some good opportunities to get back into the game but could not make the most of it.
In the fifth minute of seven minutes of injury time added to the second half, Sunil Shrestha scored his second personal goal to make the game 3-1. Sunil was declared the man of the match. Sunil received 10,000 cash for man of the match sponsored by Jyoti Bikas Bank in Simara.
Birgunj United and Bagmati clash
Two teams of Mofasal are entering the field on Friday under Jagdamba 13th Jitpursimara Gold Cup. Birgunj United Club and Bagmati Yuwa Club will face each other in the match which will start after 5:30 PM at Simara Stadium.
Birgunj is a team of B division while Bagmati played in C division league. Both teams have participated in the Mofasal tournament with strong presence.
