Jagdamba Jeetpursimara Gold Cup : Makwanpur 11 has entered the semi-finals

Simara: Makwanpur 11 has entered the semi-finals of the Jagdamba 13th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup by defeating Bharatpur Football Club in a tiebreaker.

In an exciting match held at Simara Stadium on Saturday, Makwanpur secured a place in the last four by defeating Bharatpur 4-3 in the tiebreaker.

Makwanpur took a 2-0 lead against Bharatpur within 10th minutes of the first half. Sujan Gurung in the 4th minute and Manish Poudel in the 10th minute scored attractive goals to give Makwanpur a good start.

Bharatpur made a great comeback in the second half of the game. Sajin Thapa scored the equalizing goal in the 55th minute of the match. Using Sunil Shrestha’s pass, Sajin tied the game at 2-2.

Makwanpur won a dramatic tiebreaker after the scheduled time ended with a tie of 3-3. Manish Paudel of Makwanpur was declared the man of the match. He received 10,000 cash.

Under the competition, there will be a match between former winners Newroad team NRT and Birgunj United on Sunday. Leaving aside Bagmati Youth Club, Birgunj confirmed the meeting with NRT.
