Lions road inaugurated at Birgunj on the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Lions Club

Simra: The road connecting the bypass near Narayani Hospital in Birgunj has been named ‘Lions Road’ and inaugurated today. On the occasion of the golden jubilee of the Lions Club of Birgunj, Rajeshman Singh, the mayor of Birgunj Metropolitan City, inaugurated the Lions Road on Sunday.

Inaugurating the Lions Road, Mayor Singh praised the work done by the Lions Club International in the social sector. Urging to continue the social work in the future, Singh said that the Metropolitan City’s office is ready to move forward in cooperation with the Lions Club International.

Multiple Coordinator of Lions Club Nepal, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Agarwal said that the Lions Club will be more responsible towards the society and will be active. Stating that at least 50 exemplary works should be done in the 50 years since its establishment, Agarwal demanded to allocate the necessary budget for the upgradation of Radha Devi Memorial School.

In the program coordinated by Lion Ashok Kumar Baidya, Lions Club International District 325 S. Governor DN Agarwal, President of FNCCI Birgunj, Anil Kumar Agarwal, former Governor Dr. RP Khetan, District Secretary Basu Timilsina, Treasurer Ram Bihari Pandey, Area 3 Chief Umesh Sharma, Club President Pappu Kumar Srivastaw and others were present.
