Father killed his daughter for having a love affair with a Dalit
Simara: A father living in Bara Pheta Rural Municipality killed his own 15-year-old daughter for having a love relationship with a Dalit youth. The mystery of the incident was revealed while investigating the dead body recovered on Shawan 13 in Jagarnathpur, Parsa.
According to the police, Harindra Mahato of Pheta rural municipality 1 Triweni tole killed his daughter Kaushila who was studying in class 8. Mahato killed Kaushila, who was living at Uncle’s house in Bishrampur Parsa, and threw her body on the bank of Supauli river in Jagarnathpur.
Parsa Police was investigating the incident after the body was recovered. At the same time, after receiving information that Kaushila was missing for more than five months, the police reached the incident. The body of Kaushila, who had been missing since Shawan 11, was found on Shawan 13. But the body could not be identified.
Bara Police Spokesperson Dadhiram Neupane informed that the truth of the incident was revealed after the police detained Mahato and interrogated him. During interrogation, Mahato said that the reason for killing his daughter was a love affair with a Dalit youth.
According to the police, Mahato along with two accomplices took Kaushila to the car and killed her and dumped the body on the river bank. Bara police took Mahato into custody and handed him over to Parsa police. Parsa police have started further investigation of the incident.
