Birgunj United has entered in finals

Simara: Birgunj United Club has entered the finals of the 3rd Manharwa Gold Cup by defeating the host Mauwa Devi Youth Club. In the first semi-final match held on Wednesday at Mauwadevi Ground, Jeetpursimara 18, Birgunj defeated the hosts 2-0 and entered the last two.

Amar Dangol and Sagar Chaudhary scored one goal each in Birgunj’s win. Sagar scored the second goal in the 73rd minute for Birgunj, who took the lead from Amar’s goal in the 18th minute of the game. Amar of Birgunj was declared the man of the match.

As part of the competition, a match will be played between former winners Nawadurga Yuva Club Simara and Hetauda Regal Resort on Thursday. In the quarterfinal match, Hetauda won over Rautahat and Nawadurga over Bagmati by 5-1.

The final match of the tournament, which started on Magh 13th, will be held on the 20th. The winner of the competition will receive Rs 2 lakh and the runner-up will receive Rs 1 lakh.
