Distribution of blankets for newborns by Simara Mahila Cooperative
Simara: On the occasion of the 114th International Women’s Day, Simara Mahila Savings and Credit Cooperative Society handed over blankets for newborn babies on Tuesday. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated every March 8, the organization handed over 100 blankets to Jeetpursimara City Hospital.
As part of social responsibility, the officials of the organization and the guests of the program handed over blankets to the head of the hospital, Dr. Prakash Shah, during one of the programs. The blanket handed over by the organization will be distributed to the parents of newborns born in the city hospital.
In the same event, a blanket was wrapped on the baby born in the city hospital a day before. The chief guest of the program, Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan 14, Ward President Chayan Gurung said that Simara Mahila Cooperative has done creative and exemplary work while covering the newborn baby with a blanket. She expressed her commitment to help Simara Women’s Cooperative to make its services more broad and community-oriented.
Acting Ward President of Jeetpursimara 2 Uddhav Gautam, Congress leader Niru Rayamajhi, Maoist center leader Gita Kandel, Shobha Karki, Founder President of the organization Anita Lamsal Adhikari, Account Coordinator Urmila Sapkota, Hospital Public Health Officer Ashok Jaiswal, Parbati Bohora, who works at the Women’s and Children’s Service Center of Area Police Office, Simara, was present.
Secretary Geeta Sharma facilitated the program under the chairmanship of Muna Kharel, president of the organization. Vice President Bhimadevi Sharma gave a welcome speech in the program. Established in 2063, Simara Mahila Cooperative has been doing various creative activities.
