18 people were killed in Saurya Air plane crash

Simara: Eighteen people were killed when a Saurya Air plane flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport. The pilot of the Saurya Airlines flight Manishratna shakya was the only survivor and was seriously injured.

The plane that was flying to Pokhara with technicians and staff from Kathmandu for repairs crashed within a few seconds. There were 19 people on the plane including two crew members, employees of Saurya Airlines, technicians and their families.

Amitman Maharjan, Sagar Aacharya, Dilip Verma, Manuraj Sharma, Aswin Niraula, Sudipalal Joshi, Sarwesh Marasaini, Shyam Bindukar, Nawaraj Ale, Rajaram Acharya, Prijja Khatiwada, Adhiraj Sharma, Udhav Puri, Yagyaprasad Paudel, Santosh Mahato, Punyaratna Shahi and foreigner Aref Reda were on board the plane with pilot Shakya and co-pilot S Katuwal. Out of them only pilot Shakya was rescued alive.

Tribhuvan International Airport has been affected for some time after the incident. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inspected the incident site and took information about the plane crash with the authority’s staff.
