‘First Creative Jeetpursimara Veteran Cup’ will be held in Simara

Simara: The first Creative Jeetpursimara Veteran Cup football tournament will be held in Simara, Bara from the first week of Kartik. Nawa Janajagriti Veteran Club is going to organize the competition from 6th of Kartik.

Only players who have reached the age of 40 will participate.  20 teams from Nepal and India will participate in the competition. The winner of the competition, which will be held until Kartik 10, will receive one lakh and the runner-up will receive 50,000 cash.

Coordinator and secretary of the club Ram Pathak informed that Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, Chitwan, Hetauda, Jhapa, Sarlahi, Nawalparasi, Katari, Birgunj, Kalaiya, Pathlaiya, Dumarwana, Khairwa, Nijgadh, Baghi and two teams from organizers will participate in the competition. Likewise, the Patna-based Veteran team in India has shown interest in participating and coordination is in process, Pathak said.

Kalaiya-based Creative World Digital Pvt. Ltd. will be the main sponsor of the competition, which will be organized with the main support of Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city.

In the press conference, President of Nepal Journalist Federation Bara Resham Tiwari, Ward member of Jeetpursimara 1 Aman Lama, Ward member of Jeetpursimara Ward No. 7 Nabin Mainali, Karate trainer Sanu Patel, President of Simara Foundation Aarif Hussain, Hira Basnet, Niroj Pudasaini, member of Nawa Janajagriti Yuwa Club, club officials , members and others were present.

The event was facilitated by journalist SS Patel under the chairmanship of Pathak, the coordinator of the competition. Patron of the club Dipak Bhattarai gave a welcome speech in the event.
