U-19 Captain Puja Becomes the “Face of the Bolts” for Janakpur Bolts
Simara: Captain of the Women’s U-19 National Cricket Team, Puja Mahato, has been named the “Face of the Bolts” for the Nepal Premier League franchise Janakpur Bolts.
In an event held in Janakpur on Monday, Janakpur Bolts announced Puja as the “Face of the Bolts” for their team. During the event, the team also honored Puja with a cash prize of NPR 50,000.
Under Puja’s captaincy, the Women’s U-19 National Team qualified for the World Cup by securing a spot through the Asia qualifiers. After her outstanding performance in the Asia qualifiers, Puja, who hails from Mahottari, was included in the Janakpur Bolts team as the “Face of the Bolts.”
The marquee player for Janakpur Bolts is Ashif Sheikh from Birgunj, while the team’s head coach is former Nepal national team coach Pubudu Dassanayake. Anil Sah from Bara is also associated with Janakpur Bolts.
