Sagar from Birgunj Declared Best Referee in the USA
Simara: Sagar Guvaju from Birgunj has been declared the best referee in the Metro Open International Taekwondo Championship held in New Jersey, USA. He has been recognized as the best national referee.
About 50 referees participated in the championship held from January 4th to 6th as part of US Taekwondo’s annual event. More than 500 athletes from different countries competed.
Sagar previously won gold medals at the Las Vegas International Taekwondo Championship, 2nd Everest National Open Taekwondo Tournament, Dallas Open, National Capital Open and Asian American Celebration Open.
Sagar, who is a member of the Nepali national team, has also participated in the Taekwondo World Championship and the World Military Games. Sagar also competed in the 18th Asian Games held in Indonesia in 2018.
