Jeetpursimara Goldcup: Hanami BFC beats Salhesh

Simara: In the 15th edition of the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup, Hanami BFC Bharatpur made a victorious start.

In the opening match held at the Simara Stadium on Friday night, Hanami BFC beats Salhesh Yuwa Club Siraha by 2-1. With this victory, Hanami has entered to the semifinals of the competition.

For Chitwan, Bishnu Yonjan and Raj Bhushal each scored one goal, while for Siraha, Sushil Rai scored one goal. After a goalless draw in the first half, Chitwan took the lead in the 53rd minute with Bishnu’s goal. In the 80th minute, Salhesh equalized with a goal from Sushil Rai.

Chitwan regained the lead in the 85th minute with a second goal from Raj Bhushal. Bhushal was also named Player of the Match.

Bhushal received a Player of the Match award sponsored by Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. with a cash prize of 10,000. The award was presented by Jeetpursimara Sub-metropolitan city’s Mayor Rajan Paudel and Green Energy’s operator Shailesh Shah Thakuri.

On Saturday, the host club Nawa Janjagriti Yuva Club will play against Regal Hetauda Resort ANFA Makwanpur.
