One Dead in Motorcycle-Truck Collision on Bagmati Bridge
Sarlahi: A motorcycle rider died after being hit by a container truck on the Bagmati Bridge.
The deceased is 21-year-old Gopal Yonjan from Chandrapur 1, Paurahi, Rautahat. The incident occurred on Wednesday night at 9 PM when the container truck hit the motorcycle on the bridge located in Ward No. 11 of Bagmati Municipality while returning from Karmaya, Sarlahi.
Yonjan was rescued in an injured condition and was being referred from Model Hospital Bagmati to the Provincial Hospital Malangwa. However, doctors at the Provincial Hospital declared him dead.
The container truck driver, Ombahadur Lo Lama, from Bhimfedi 5, Makwanpur, has been taken into police custody.
