Traffic awareness week started in Madhesh

Janakpur: The ‘Traffic Awareness Week’ organized by the Ministry of Home, Communications and Law of the Madhesh Province Government has started from Thursday.

Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh and the Spokesperson of the Madhesh Province Government and Minister for Home, Communications and Law, Honorable Rajkumar Lekhi, inaugurated the campaign.

At the program, Minister Lekhi presented the fact that Madhesh Province has the highest number of road accidents after Kathmandu Valley due to lack of traffic discipline and rules, adding that the need for public awareness programs has increased.

Minister Lekhi said that long-term impact can be made through programs that convey awareness-raising messages in an entertaining manner, especially targeting young students.

Representatives from various agencies, including high-ranking officials from the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, and District Traffic Office, were present at the event.
