Simara: Nawa Janajagriti Youth Club has made a winning start in the 4th Makwanpur Gold Cup International Invitational Football Tournament. In the inaugural match of the competition held on Thursday, Janajagruti got off to a winning start by stunning Sarlahi.
Janajagruti defeated Bagmati Youth Club 2-0 in a match played at Piple Stadium in Hetauda. Vivek Chaudhary and Kripakant Chaudhary scored one goal each in the victory of Janajagriti.
Janajagriti, who took the lead in the eighth minute of the match through a goal of Vivek, doubled the lead in the last minute and registered its first victory. Janajagriti’s Vivek Chaudhary was declared Man of the Match. He got 10,000 rupees cash.
With the victory, Janajagriti has entered the last eight of the competition. The winner of the 12-team competition will get Rs 15 Lakh and the runner-up will get Rs 10 Lakh.
