A couple on a motorcycle died after being hit by a truck

Amlekhganj: A couple on a motorcycle was killed in a truck collision at Amlekhgunj in Bara district on Monday morning. A motorcycle coming from Chitwan towards Bara was hit by a truck coming from the same direction.

The deceased have been identified as Devendra Chaudhary, 26, of Pari Baragadhi village municipality-1 and his wife Nanda Chaudhary, according to the Area Police Office, Amlekhgunj.

The motorcycle (Pra 03-004-PA1517) was hit by a wave truck (Na 7 Kha 3948) coming from the same direction. Police said that they were hit by the same truck after the collision.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Kalaiya Hospital for autopsy while the truck has been taken under control.

In the last 12 hours, four people have lost their lives in accidents in Bara. Earlier, two persons were killed when a motorcycle fell from Thalahi Bridge in Mahagadhimai Municipality-8 of Bara on Sunday night.

Going to Langada Chowk from Bariyapur,  Two persons were killed when a motorcycle (02-03-0044P 7934) fell down from the bridge at around 10.30 pm.

The deceased have been identified as Birulal Yadav, 35, of Suvarna village municipality-7 and Mewachandra Ray Yadav, 30, of Bharat Motihari East Bihar Champaran Samarpur-2.

He was taken to Kalaiya Hospital for treatment after his motorcycle fell about 25 feet below the bridge. Both died during the treatment.
