Lions Club of Simara Youth Honored an active activist for AIDS prevention
Simara: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the Lions Club of Simara Youth has honored the active women as activists for the prevention and reduction of HIV/AIDS.
The club honored Lama with 5000 cash in a program organized in the auditorium of Sanchar Hub Pvt Ltd in Simara. Lama belongs to jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city-1 pathlaiya.
Lama, who is also infected with HIV, has been active in the AIDS prevention and mitigation campaign for the last one and a half decades. She works to prevent and control HIV infection.
Lama is also the former president of Bara Plus. After 6 years of marriage, Lama was informed that she was infected by her husband and since then she has been active in the AIDS control campaign.
Lama said that she was happy to receive the honor for the first time in her life. She urged not to take AIDS as a big disease but to be aware so as not to increase its infection.

Lighting a lamp in memory of those who died of AIDS
Likewise, on the occasion of World AIDS Day, a lamp was lit in Simara on Friday. The lamp was lit in memory of those who passed away due to HIV/AIDS infection. The lamp lighting program was completed with the support of Lions Club of Simara Youth, Recovering Nepal and New Goreto Rehabilitation Center. Members of the club and the center were present at the program held in rehabilitation center.
