Manharwa Gold Cup going to be held after 9 years
Simara: The Manharwa Gold Cup, which has not been organized for almost a decade, is going to be held this year. Mauwadevi Youth Club located in Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city 18 is going to continue the Gold Cup after 9 years.
The organizers have prepared to organize the third edition from Magh 13, continuing the Gold Cup, which has not been operational for a long time. Organizer Mauwadevi Youth Club held a press conference and informed about the preparation of the third edition.
Eight teams will participate in the competition, which will be held until Magh 20th. Former winners Nawa Durga Youth Club, Hanami BFC Chitwan, Regal Hetauda Resort Makwanpur, Bagmati Youth Club Sarlahi, Rautahat FC, Namaste Youth Club Hariwan, Birgunj United Club and the host club will participate in the tournament.
The winner of the competition will receive Rs 2 lakh and the runner-up will receive Rs 1 lakh. Ramesh Khatiwada informed that the best player will get 20,000, the top scorer will get 15,000, the best goalkeeper, defender and midfielder will get 10,000, the best coach will get 5,000 and the emerging player will get 5,000. Khatiwada said that a team that reaches the semi-finals of the competition will be rewarded with 25,000 cash through Fair Play Award. The estimated cost of the tournament to be held at Mauwadevi Yuva Club’s playground is 20 lakh 86 thousand.
In the press conference chaired by club president Nirmal Kumar Yadav, President of Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum Sunil Gaule and others gave their views. The program was facilitated by Pushparaj Khatiwada, the media coordinator of the competition.
