Bus accident on bridge number three: 30 passengers injured
Simara: On Tuesday, 30 passengers were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident near market of bridge number three located at Jeetpursimara 22 under the Pathlaiya-Hetauda road section. The condition of two of the injured is critical.
According to Dadhiram Neupane, Police Spokesperson of District Police Office, Bara, 22 passengers who were injured in the accident are currently being treated and two of them have been kept in the ICU. 18 passengers are being treated in Hetauda and four in Amlekhgunj. Other minor injured passengers have returned home.
Passenger bus No. NA6KHA 9030, which was going from Hetauda to Janakpur, fell into the river on the market side of Bridge No. 3. Immediately after the incident, locals and passengers of other vehicles rescued the injured.
The vehicle of the Chief Administrative Officer of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality, which arrived immediately after the incident, rescued five passengers and took them to the hospital. After seeing the accident while returning from Hetauda, five people were rescued and immediately taken to the hospital in Hetauda, said Satyaraj Ghimire, the personal secretary of the city chief. After the treatment of the injured has started, the metropolitan vehicle has returned to Birgunj.
