Aarif and Ashif Shekh Honored for Outstanding Performance in Nepal Premier League”
Simara: The two players from Birgunj, Aarif Shekh and Ashif Shekh, who performed excellently in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament, have been honored.
The Birgunj Metropolitan City-10 office honored them with a cash prize of 51,000 rupees each and a certificate of appreciation. Ashif played for Janakpur Royals and Aarif for Sudurpaschim Royals in the NPL.
In the honor ceremony, Ward Chairperson Sushil Kumar Kanu mentioned that the outstanding performance in the NPL by the players had contributed to bringing Birgunj into the spotlight at both national and international levels through sports, making the people of Birgunj proud.
The program was attended by ward committee members, the ward secretary, local residents, sports enthusiasts, and staff from the ward office.
