Simara’s Shrestha became the provincial champion and was selected for the national sports

Simara: Ramakrishna Shrestha of Bara has been selected for the badminton game for the ninth national sports to be held in Pokhara in the last week of Asoj. Jitpursimara, the best state champion with 2 houses, was selected as the state champion from the state level selection game held in Janakpur.

Shrestha is the only player to be selected from Bara for badminton in national sports. Four players participated for the selection from the twelve.

Participating players including Shrestha, who were selected in the national sports, were honored in Simara. Ramu Shrestha, head of Nepal Electricity Authority Simaa distribution center, Kalyan Ale, president of Nepal National Secondary School Pathlaiya, Amar Shrestha, director of S Bakery Cafe, etc.

Shrestha had previously been selected as the state champion for the eighth National Games. Shrestha was without a medal in the 8th National Games.
