14th edition of Jeetpursimara Gold Cup is going to start from  Chaitra 24

Simara: The 14th edition of Jagdamba Jeetpursimara Gold Cup established as a prestigious football tournament of Mofasal is going to start from Chaitra 24. Organizer Nawa Janajagriti Yuwa Club organized a press conference at Hotel Shrestha Residency in Simara on Sunday and informed about the competition.

This time, 10 teams, including 5 from A Division, will participate in the tournament, which will be inaugurated by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Birajbhakta Shrestha. According to the organizers, former winners Church Boys United, Machhindra Football Club, Friends Club, Divisional Tribhuwan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Nepal APF Club, Birgunj United Club of Mofasal, Regal Resort ANFA Makwanpur, Salhesh Youth Club Siraha and the organizers will participate in the tournament.

Like the previous year, the winner of the competition will receive 10 Lakh and the runner-up will receive five Lakh cash. Ramchandra Lama, the president of the organizing club, has informed that the best player of the tournament will receive a motorcycle or a scooter. Competition will be held until Baishakh 3.

This time in the competition, only the best goalkeeper and the highest scorer will be awarded for the category awards. Stating that according to ANFA’s suggestion, the awards has been reduced, President Lama informed that the best players will get 25,000 cash. The emerging player of the tournament will get 15,000 cash and the player of the match will get 10,000 cash. The player of the match award will be sponsored by Shubharambha College.

With the main support of Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City and the main sponsorship of Jagdamba Steels Pvt. Ltd., the competition will be supported by Nepovit Tiles, Hulas Steels, Surya Nepal, Yeti Airlines, Sagarmatha Insurance, UR Automatic Laundry, LS Neuro, Star Hospital, Susapta Medical, Bottlers Nepal, Hotel and Tourism Association. Likewise, General Secretary Shambhu Singh Thakuri informed that National Sports Council, All Nepal Football Association, Bara District Football Association will provide technical support to the tournament.

The estimated budget of the competition is said to be one crore three lakh. General Secretary Thakuri informed in the press conference that the students who come to watch the matches of the tournament will get 50% discount on the tickets and free entry for the disabled and the elderly over 70 years of age. Like the previous year, this year also there will be a food stall at Simara Rangasala.

In the press conference chaired by club president Lama, administrative officer of Jagdamba Steels Kumud Dhakal, general secretary of Bara District Football Association Ramkrishna Shrestha, former club president Rajkumar Bhattarai, club advisors Dinesh Rai, Suman Bhattarai, Kasim Hussain, Inda Dulal, Kishore Tripathi, Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, Federation of Nepalese Journalists Bara President Resham Tiwari, Sports Journalist Forum Bara President Sunil Gaule, Club Senior Vice President Shankar Thapa, Vice President Rajdas Shrestha along with club officials and members were present.
