Eight Child Laborers Rescued from Carpet Factory in Dumarwana

Simara: Eight child laborers have been rescued from a carpet factory located at Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city 15 Dumarwana.

A joint team of Jeetpursimara Sub-Metropolitan City, Labor and Employment Office Birgunj and Child Helpline Makwanpur monitored and rescued the child laborers working in the Sushma carpet industry.

The rescued child laborers are under 18 years old. According to Ramesh Subedi, officer of Jeetpursimara sub-metropolitan city, there are five children from Bara Nijgadh Municipality and three from Makwanpur Raksirang Rural Municipality.

The rescued children have been handed over to Child Helpline Makwanpur. Officer Subedi informed that Child Helpline will hand over those children to their parents.
