Jeetpursimara Gold Cup: Himalayan Sherpa in Semifinals

Simara: Himalayan Sherpa Club enters to the semifinals of the 15th Jeetpursimara Gold Cup. In the final quarterfinal match held at the Simara Stadium on Monday night, Sherpa defeated Friends Club by 1-0.
With this victory, the semifinal lineup for the 15th edition of the Jeetpursimara Gold Cup has been finalized. Earlier Nawa Janajagriti Yuwa Club, Machhindra Football Club, and Hanami BFC Bharatpur had already secured their places in the semifinals.
The decisive goal for Sherpa was scored by Robert Khongjo, who found the net in the 8th minute of the game.

Robert was also named the Green Energy Player of the Match and received a cash prize of 10,000 rupees. He was awarded by Dinesh Pandey, Chief of the Internal Revenue Office in Simara, and Swikar Dhakal, the operator of Green Energy Industries Pvt. Ltd.
As part of the competition, the first semifinal match between Machhindra Football Club and Hanami BFC Bharatpur will be held on Tuesday. The second semifinal match between the host Nawa Janajagriti and Himalayan Sherpa Club will be held on Wednesday.
