CIB makes Bamjan public with illegal currencies

Simara: The Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CIB) has publiced Ram Bahadur Bamjan on Wednesday, who is called an ascetic. CIB team arrested Bamjan from his house in Budhanilkanth, Kathmandu on Tuesday evening.

Bamjan of Bara Ratanpuri is accused of murder and sexual violence. After the Sarlahi District Court ordered his arrest on 23rd Magh 2076, the police was searching for him. CIB launched ‘Operation Blue’ to arrest Bamjan who was hiding from the police.

When the CIB team reached the house in Budhanilkanth after getting information, Bamjan tried to escape by jumping from the house. It was informed in a press conference held at the CIB office that the police surrounded him and took him into custody.

Police recovered 3 crore 34 lakh 37 thousand 906 rupees from Bamjan’s house. Out of which,  2 crore 30 lakh 75 thousand and 500 is Nepali and foreign currency of 17 countries worth 30 lakh 92 thousand 600 rupees. The CIB team recovered 15 mobile phones, two laptops, five iPads and tabs, 20 pen drives, car and motorcycle keys from his house.

Bamjan was preparing to buy a car worth five crores from a showroom in Dhumbarahi in the name of Paneet Maharjan, president of Bodhi Shrawan Dharma Sangh Lalitpur. For which he had already paid three crore rupees. Bamjan, who was riding a Toyota Fortuner, also used a Crossfire, KTM Duke motorcycle, and a Yamaha Ray ZR scooter.

CIB information officer Nawaraj Adhikari has informed in a press conference that preparations are being made to send Bamjan to Sarlahi District Court. There is a case against Bamjan in the Sarlahi district court of murder, sexual violence etc.
